  • 走行テストは、間近で見ると、車体下部からのムンムンした熱気と混じりあった新車のニオイが堪らなくいいです。 後、桃太郎に運転席?のシートが積み込まれていました。

    Train was basically running headless and could still move under its own power, that’s actually quite awesome

    • @renefrijhoff2484

      It's not really awesome if you know how it's configured. In contrast to the TGV or Thalys (French highspeed trains) for example which has two power cars (1 at each end), the highspeed trains in Japan have electromotors on each axle in the bogies. You don't need the ends, just as long you have the pantograph on one of the other cars. That's why you can have passengers also in the ends in the Japanese highspeed train, but not in the ends of the TGV/Thalys. That being said, it will require some special preparations to do that without at least one of the ends since it's were the controls are. Also, I don't know where you see the train without ends, because I saw everytime one end.

    it's kinda funny that even in japan the best way to get a new seat into a loco is two men a forklift and a pallet.

    weird how japan trains are gigantic considering they go through areas where space is very reduced and they still get those giant trains to fit inside tunnels and stations, here in Spain trains are small in the 1435mm gauge

    • @farnathmurmu3497
      @farnathmurmu3497 Год назад +2

      Here in India our train gauge is 1676mm

    • @Lolwutfordawin
      @Lolwutfordawin Год назад +1

      I just looked it up, shinkansen has a 3400mm loafing gauge, most of Europe is 3150mm. That's almost 30cm wider trains - which would allow reasonable 2+3 or very comfy 2+2 seating. Cool to learn!

    Half of a E5 series shinkansen moving under it's own power. Most carriages are powered anyway (driving carriages are trailers, middle 8 are powered). The other half of the train is visible at 6:15. The E5 operates at 320km/h.

    6:59 日本の安全はすべてです。 アメリカで 2 人 (1 人もいない) の横断警備員は決して見られません。 貪欲なアメリカ企業が削減する費用です。
    Japan's all about safety. You will never see 2 crossing guards (not even 1) in America for anything. It's an expense that greedy American companies will cut.
